I can't sleep. I'm not sure if it is because I took my thyroid medicine at night or because I'm excited about definitely getting to go on another cruise soon. Hubby told me last night that I could have the Cruise Naughties reunion cruise in March for a Christmas present instead of some other thing that he wouldn't mention if I wanted. So, I immediately called my friend in Dallas and told her I was in!

The Cruise Naughties is what the Cruise Director from our cruise this past September nicknamed our group from CruiseCritic.com when we sailed on 09/28/08. That kind of took off, now we have devils horn headpieces from Halloween costumes, a Bart Simpson mascot doll and are designing t-shirts for our reunion. We'll get together with anyone who was on the last cruise but not the upcoming one in Galveston the weekend before we sail, but 4 of us are going to be on the Ecstasy ( a Carnival ship smaller than the Conquest) on its March 2 sailing to Progresso and Cozumel in Mexico. Woo Hoo! I can't wait to get back under that Caribbean sun and start this coming year's tan!

Those pictures were from my first cruise. I plan on taking a lot more pictures on the next cruise, now that I know a lot more about cruising and what to expect.

If I had to choose between living in the mountains or by the ocean, then I would choose the ocean in the area of a cruise ship terminal. I went on a cruise and fell in love with cruising, so being near a port would be ideal. Mountains are nice, but they tend to pose wintertime difficulties. Coasts get urricanes, but the proximity to a cruise terminal would make that bearable.

I hope that everyone has a happy Thanksgiving holiday tomorrow and that those travelling will have safe journeys. We plan to see family in San Antonio. Here's to hoping the car is fixed on time!

An oldie but a goodie!

The CDC has announced that it will study a strange new disease that they are receiving numerous reports about. It might not be new however, just more prevalent now. The current disease gets its name from something similar reported in the 1600s.

Some people think the fibers growing out of people's skin might be related to chemtrails. Do your research, folks, and develop your own hypothesis. What do you think this is?

After that is a link to a Google page that can lead you to more information. This is one of those creepy yet fascinating subjects that I'm afraid we may not really want to find out about. Let's hope this disease really is not caused by nanotechnology on the loose!

We went to a friend's retirement party tonight. He is best friends with my father-in-law, sort of like an uncle to us. We danced a lot, drank a little, saw a bunch of friends and family and friends that are like family. We had a pretty good time. That's rare out here in the middle of nowhere. I guess it really does matter what company you keep. I'm glad that we keept the good ones close.

Why do you think that life begins at conception?
By saying that, you lead me to think that you'd consider any glob ofcells a living thing. That makes it immoral to treat harmful bacteria.You'd set medical science back hundreds of years if sane people went bythat reasoning.
Why do you think that a blastocyst has rights, but a living, breathing, thinking woman does not?
Abortion is not about what some religious person tells gullible people,it is about women's civil rights as human beings. Do you think thatwomen are not human?
Did you know that most human pregnancies end in spontaneous abortion before the woman knows she is pregnant?
Why do you support the overpopulation of third world countries?
What are you personally doing to support all those poor children thatyou want brought into the world against the wishes of their parents?Are you willing to give your money to them? I'm not. I don't want mytax dollars being sent to foreign countries when we have hungry andmedically uninsured people in our own country.
If people cannot or will not give children a good life, they should not have those children.

She is described as being of Pacific Islander appearance, 160-165 centimetres tall, solid build with a tanned complexion, brown eyes and tan shoulder-length hair
Teenager Ferila Tiatia and her baby son never made an 11am appointment they had on Friday.

A relative dropped Ferila, 15, and her three-week-old child in Mount Street, Mount Druitt, and has not heard from them since.

The family's concern for the pair's welfare is heightened by the baby's pre-existing medical condition, which requires ongoing monitoring, police said.

Ferila, who lives in Plumpton, was last seen wearing a black and red checked shirt, black jeans, a brown cardigan and gold sandals
